Introduction
Brake Motors
When reliable and safe stoppage for a short duration is required, for example, in the packaging line, brake motors are used. In LHP brake motors, fail-safe type electromagnetic brakes are mounted on the rear-side end-shield of the motor. The brakes work on a DC supply and operate once the power supply is switched off. In LHP brake motors, rectifiers are mounted in the motor terminal box, which convert the AC power supply to DC for brake operations.
