Inverter Duty Motors

Introduction

When added capability is required from the motor to control various process parameters, the motor is coupled with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). In such cases, using an inverter duty motor is recommended. An inverter -duty motor has special constructional features so that it can withstand the high voltage spikes produced by VFDs and also run at very slow speeds without overheating. We offer a testing facility for inverter duty motors with VFD at our Test Lab approved by KLPL and PESO. LHP Inverter Duty motors are available in efficiencies IE2, IE3 and IE4 and have the following features:

  • Insulated Bearing
  • Dual-coated, high grade copper wires for winding
  • 100% Vacuum Pressure Impregnation to impart reliability and strength to the winding
  • Force cooling can be offered after studying the application requirements
